Killing Caffeine before it Kills You

Caffeine is a drug like substance. It affects your health so much, that the Government is taxing this, which started in January of 2012. This could not only cause a decease in diabetes  but a decrease in heart attacks and strokes. The first soda introduced in 1958 was Diet Rite.

Thirty-three states already tax caffeine, however it is so small of a tax to even notice. The average male consumes 15 teaspoons of caffeine daily whereas women consume 10 teaspoons. This equals 36 percent of their diets.

Diebetes and weight gain are the most common result of caffeine. Diet beverages are worse to drink then real soda. The diet drink tricks the brain into making it want more.  They normally have a 70% greater waist size. To work off one can you have to walk three miles in fifteen minutes.

The soda eats calcium from your bones as well.  The American Heart Association recommends fewer then three 12 ounce cans a week.
